Hikaru Shidou
Hikaru was a 14 years old student of junior high school in her second year. From the element of fire she inherited Fire Arrows and Red Thunderbolt. Her Machine God was Rayearth. Her first weapon was a sword, then also a sword made from Escudo that would turn into flames if being touched by anyone other than herself. Both weapons agreed to her skill in kendo (Japanese fencing). Hikaru was a popular, energetic, and athetic young girl often mistaken for an elementary school student because of her height. Umi Ryuuzaki
Just like her other friends, Umi was a 14 years old student of junior high school in her second year. She inherited Water Dragon, Blue Waterspout, and Ice Sword from the element of water. Ceres was her Machine God. Her first weapon was a rapier, then also a rapier made from Escudo that would melt into water if being touched by anyone other than herself. She was an athlete of fencing which explains her weapons of choice. Umi was a sarcastic girl who often spoke before she thought and got panic quickly. But underneath those impulsive behaviors, she was an optimistic and caring self. This helped her raise her hidden power to the level beyond her own expectation many times. Umi

Fuu Hououji
Fuu was also a 14 years old student of junior high school in her second year. She inherited Healing Wind, Wind of Reprimand, and Green Whirlwind from the element of air. Her Machine God was Windam. Her first weapon was a bow and arrows, then a huge sword made from Escudo, that would become so heavy nobody could ever lift it, if being touched by anyone other than herself. Her first weapon matched with her bow-shooting skill. Fuu was a calm and very polite young girl. Her power lies within her intelligence. With her accurate and logical accounts she often saved the girls from troubles. Fuu
