Magic Knights
The Legend of the Magic Knights persists through stories and fables passed down from generations. Legends tell of Magic Knights of old having visited Cefiro from a distant land none have ever heard of. Long ago, when the world of Cefiro was in peril, a trio of heroes came and saved the world from danger. However, much faith has been put into the entire story very recently.
Emeraude, the Pillar of Cefiro, was captured by Zagato, once her most trusted advisor. She is know in the clutches of the powerful priest, and can do nothing to escape. As such, the world is falling apart, and Emeraude is powerless to save the world from breaking apart at the seams. Without the pillar, Cefiro has begun self destructing, desperately needing the pillar as the glue that binds the world through pure will and prayer. Many tried to rescue the princess, and failed. None could beat Zagato, and his superior strength. It seemed that all is lost.
However, Emeraude has summoned the Magic Knights, and they now are entrusted with the ver special mission of saving her. She herself summoned three school girls from Tokyo to help save her world, and now they begin their quest to save the world from the clutches of Zagato, and his hidden motive. What may lie in store for the Magic Knights?
Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu, the three Magic Knights, have been thrust into a new world, and now they struggle to adapt to their new environment as they vie for inner power, and thrive for their way home. Hikaru, a bouncy and energetic girl, Umi, a realistic and cynical young woman, and Fuu, the brainy and crafty side of the group, all cling together to beat the odds, and hope that they can live up to the legend of .... Magic Knight Rayearth!!
Mashins
Nobody knows why, but it seems that part of being a Magic Knight also entails that they must revive a legendary war spirit that aids them in battle. These spirits are called Mashins. The Mashins are great spirits of Cefiro that aid those in time of need. They lie dormant in temples scattered across the world, and wait for those ready to wield their awesome power. However, they have deadly tests that must be passed before one may become one with them. Of the known Mashins, there is Rayearth, Windam, and Seres. These are the Mashins of the Magic Knights. Some synthetic mashins have been made in recent times though, and it seems that these secret creations of magic are meant to somehow mimic the grand spirits in some way. So called machines, synthetic mashins are giant robots, but many doubt their comparison with the spirits of Cefiro. Mashins will be covered more extensively in a mock net-book I will title Cefiro- part II. This will cover the end of the Magic Knight Legend, and the beginning of the next Saga. I will cover more info there, and hopefully set the stage for my next three netbooks. |
Escudo
Escudo also is a vital piece to the arsenal of any Magic Knight. A test for the Magic Knights is for them to enter the Forest of Silence, an area devoid of any magic. They are to test their mettle and physical strength against hordes of roaming monsters. However, at the end of this, they are also to pass another test to gain the mineral of Escudo. These tests are always mentally taxing, and are quite tough. near the forest, and only accessible through a forest path, the Foutain of Eterna is actually outside of the forest. The fountain holds the mineral Escudo, but is also well hidden. Those who find it must jump in, and pass the test. After that, the Escudo is given, and hopefully, the lucky individual will have a Cheif Artisan to mold it into a very special weapon for them. Not so easy eh?
Escudo weapons are necessary for reviving Mashins, as Mashins will not listen to anyone unless they wield a legendary Escudo weapon. This ensures that only a true Magic Knight will ever try to pass a Mashin test. All of these Herculean tasks await a Magic Knight.
